About Aurora

I moved to Sedona from Phoenix in 1978 after helping my Mother following my Father’s passing.  It was a magical time, for after arriving with five dollars in my pocket, I found a place to live, a job, and a group of what would become lifelong friends all within a couple of days.

In the fall of 1984, I met Mary Burmeister, the woman who brought Jin Shin Jyutsu to America. Two days before the first class I was to take with her, I ruptured a disc in my lower back. Pain can be a great motivator and, in spite of it, I attended that class. I also discovered a “home” I have never left.

In the following year, I did lot of Jin Shin self-help, studied hard, indexed my notes, and took two more classes.  By year’s end I was in the clear and pain free without surgery. I also learned how to help many others as I continued to work on lots of friends and family.  I took as many classes with Mary as I could.  Those were joyous classes; she was so inspirational!  Many have benefited from the gift of Jin Shin Jyutsu she brought to America and from her teacher, Jiro Murai. (See About Jin Shin Jyutsu for more information about Mary and Master Murai.)

I am a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help Instructor and give my clients self-help “homework” according to their needs after sessions.  My homework is drawings and instructions showing simple sequences of the energy points to hold to aid in their own healing.  Many clients have reported to me how they have been able to pull themselves out of the disharmony that initially brought them to my door. Empowerment turns problems into projects.

I use Jin Shin Jyutsu flows on my pets, too, and occasionally treat clients’ pets when they are in need of healing. They tend to respond quickly and it’s fun!  See the Self-Help Flows section of this website for more information on human and pet self-help.  Additionally, there is more information and self-help books for humans and animals at the Jin Shin Jyutsu office in Scottsdale, AZ. When not practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu, I am fortunate to spend time with my three siblings and many friends in the Sedona area. I also create time to paint and draw; facilitate classes in the study of The Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch (I have known and studied with Dr. J. J. and Dr. Desiree Hurtak since 1978); and meditate and pray as I work with Divine Spirit.

I’m grateful to my friends, family and clients in this life as we journey together.  Every one of us is sustained by the Hand of the Divine, which we are learning can flow through our hands and through our Light, Wisdom, and Love for one another.  Jin Shin Jyutsu has been a big part of this for me.  It continues to be a wonderfully joyful journey, and I’m so deeply grateful to Mary and to Jiro for giving us this amazing transformative gift!  I can’t imagine life without it!  Thank you to them and everyone for enriching my life!  I’m so deeply grateful!
